    Wang Ping's Sacrifice...

. . . and Other Stories of Christians in Communist China

Abruptly, the officers stopped me in front of a cell and unlocked the door. They shoved me roughly inside. Immediately, a burly young prisoner came toward me. Then he asked the dreaded question. “Why are you here?”

I couldn’t help it. The words just burst out. “I am here in the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God!”

All thirteen of those prisoners stepped back They were amazed. And frightened

Finally the young leader seemed able to move “Sit down. Tell me about Jesus, the son of your god.”
