    The Holy Spirit, Abiding Comforter

    The Holy Spirit, Abiding Comforter

“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever: even the Spirit of truth” (John 14:16, 17). Before His crucifixion, Jesus promised His disciples that He would send the Holy Spirit to comfort and empower them.

The Comforter is much more than a “consolation prize” to pacify us while the real Jesus is absent. Jesus said, “I will come to you” (John 14: 18). In the Person of the Holy Spirit, Jesus is without the limits of his fleshly body. Now He is present with every believer everywhere, and no one will ever again need travel through life without Him.

Some very strange things have been said about the Holy Spirit and His work in the believer’s life. This book approaches the subject of the Holy Spirit from a Biblical and practical perspective. It is written in an easy-to-read style that will help the reader to appreciate the work of the Holy Spirit in his life.
