Paul's Letter to the Corinthians -- The format of this "Compact Commentary" on First Corinthians is somewhat unique. The number of the verses appear in the margin, leaving the text more readable. It has also been written in a style that makes it possible to read the commentary as a book without the use of the the Bible itself.
A special feature is the topical index with many of the topics listed in current lingo. Does Paul, for example, speak on "social action" or "situational ethics" or "racial equality"? Such topics as these are listed with the verses and sections of the letter which deal with them.
This very realiable commentary includes almost 24 pages on chapter 11:1-16. Criticism may be leveled at the author for the lengthy treatment given the women's veiling. However, it is an attempt to make up for some of the lack of serious expositions on this section of Paul's letter. This section cannot be lightly passed off as irrelevant for our time.
